Is your company looking for a solution to be able to easily call and receive calls from clients? Look no further, Microsoft came out with Business Voice. Microsoft 365 Business Voice is a cloud-based phone system built for small and medium sized businesses. It includes a phone system, domestic calling plan, and audio conferencing. Business Voice enables users to make, receive, and transfer calls to and from landlines and mobile phones on the public switched telephone network (PSTN) in Microsoft Teams.

Companies can license up to 300 seats in Microsoft 365 Business Voice. If you already have an Office 365 or Microsoft 365 subscription, you can add Business Voice to your current subscription. Business Voice can be added on to:

  • Office 365 Business Essentials
  • Office 365 Business Premium
  • Microsoft 365 Business
  • Office 365 E1
  • Office 365 A1
  • Office 365 E3
  • Office 365 A3
  • Microsoft 365 E3
  • Microsoft 365 A3

You can purchase Business Voice from Microsoft partners, like KTL Solutions, or Microsoft itself. There are two different licensing options available: one with a calling plan and one without. The Microsoft 365 Business Voice plan that includes a domestic calling plan is priced at USD $20. This plan also offers a phone system and audio conferencing in addition to the calling plan

The other Business Voice option is priced at USD $12Similar to the first plan, this option includes a phone system and audio conferencing as well. However, it is only available through CSP only and allows for 3rd party integration of PSTN services via Direct Routing.

Another important thing to note is that customers can use their existing phone numbers with Business Voice. You have the ability to transfer your phone numbers from your current service provider to Business Voice. After you port your phone numbers over, Microsoft will become your service provider. You can also choose to keep your current PSTN provider and use Business Voice as your phone system and audio system provider.

Business Voice is a great all in one solution for companies looking to be able to use the same product internally and externally. With Business Voice in Teams, you can call your clients right from Teams without going to a different application. If you want to discuss Business Voice in greater detail, contact us and we would be happy to set up a call with you.
