Recently I had a client that was having a strange issue pop up where the user’s could not switch companies. The system would just stop, I didn’t get a not responding, and nothing was happening in SQL it just stopped. After tooling around for a little bit, trying every option possible I contacted Microsoft to see if there was a known issue. The support person was very nice and after looking at a couple of logs he informed me that Citrix isn’t really supported. I asked what does that mean really not supported. He indicated that Citrix is supported to a certain extent, Microsoft doesn’t have the expertise to support Citrix so the user has to reproduce the error outside of Citrix for Microsoft to continue to trouble shoot the issue. The support person mentioned that Terminal Server is fully supported so that lead me to believe that Citrix isn’t a supported environment.
Something to keep in mind if Citrix is your deployment method for Dynamics-GP.
