KTL Solutions has made their way down to Microsoft Convergence 2014 in Atlanta Georgia and will bring you a recap of what’s new and what’s up coming in the world of Microsoft Dynamics. The first announcement from Microsoft preceded Convergence when they recently made available their 2014 vision for Microsoft Dynamics GP, which included 2 important releases coming in the next 10 months.
The first release, a R2 version of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, is scheduled for the first half of 2014. Dynamics GP 2013 R2 will introduce new features and improvements, – such as improvements to workflow and identity management functions, as well as the product’s first companion apps.
In the second half of 2014, Microsoft ramps things up by bringing its next major release, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. Not much is known about what this version of Dynamics GP will contain, but according to the Microsoft blog, it will have “more functionality, more workflow, more apps and a Service Based Architecture that will be the foundation for the further development of Dynamics GP over the next five years.”
This new roadmap will follow Microsoft’s new vision of spacing Dynamics GP updates and releases 6 months apart. Stay tuned as we bring you more from Convergence 2014 in the coming week.
