Microsoft Office 365 (O365) is Microsoft’s online office application hub. While it’s been popular for years, there are still many features people are unaware of. These are just a few of the great features offered with O365. There are many more, so take some time and explore the portal, if you are an existing customer. You just might become the company hero!

  1. You can download the Office desktop apps at no additional charges.

The Business plans for O365 allow you to download the full Office Suite on up to five PCs/Macs, five Tablets (Android, IOS, Windows), and five smartphones. This gives you the full desktop version and capabilities, anywhere and anytime.

  1. SharePoint comes with most Business/Enterprise Plans.

Have you ever gone to your company’s O365 portal and seen this symbol?Sharepoint Then thought to yourself, what is that? This is SharePoint, an online document storage, and collaboration tool. SharePoint allows organizations to publish company documents, set up locked folders for certain departments, keep an updated company calendar, and collaboration on project documents. Have you ever been working on a project and you realize that everyone on the team has the same document that is slightly different? SharePoint eliminates this by allowing co-authoring on a single report and keeps an audit trail of changes.

  1. Microsoft Sway is included with most Business/Enterprise plans.

Sway is a digital storytelling tool. You can quickly create presentations, reports, case studies, etc. You provide all the content and Sway puts together an interactive, unique “story” that will include all the important elements you need to project a status meeting, new customer demo, or sales meeting, etc. Best of all, you can send your Sways to clients, managers, and family members. They can view everything right there in the internet browser. No external software is needed.

  1. The Planner is your new best friend.

Office 365 Planner is an online task and project management tool. You can create a project group and assign tasks to members. From there you can set their deadlines, track their progress, and keep shared notes. You can also use Planner to plan your individual tasks, work day, or week. The Planner also comes with a built-in dashboard so you can easily see where everyone on your team is at with their assignments.
